The new Auditorium Urban Center stands in a large area near the center of Bollate, subject to overall redevelopment; it is a cultural, recreational and aggregative building, also containing the production of social services and a 400-seat auditorium.
An important aspect that has organically sensitized the compositional choices of the project, concerns the acoustics of the auditorium; together with specialists, the longitudinal section of the building was substantially studied, which then led to the planivolumetric choices of the entire intervention. Therefore, with the intention of attempting an organic-expressionist relationship, aimed at enhancing the functional aspects, a building was designed with, moreover, all the energy requirements appropriate to a contemporary eco-sustainability.
