Cascina Gerola residential recovery plan / Milan

The intervention area is located in Chiaravalle Milanese (a village annexed to Milan in the 1930s). It is part of a purely agricultural context which is part of the South Park adjacent to the Vettabbia Park; nearby there is the famous Abbey of Chiaravalle, an intact and extraordinary example of Cistercian architecture.

It was therefore decided to protect some of the façades of the pre-existing buildings, considered to be of greater value.

The typological elements of architecture used inevitably fall on agricultural ones, albeit reinterpreted in a contemporary key.
