The new public building in Novate Milanese was designed to house the municipal library and a day elderly center. The project was based on the desire to create a courtyard balanced with respect to the context, which was characterized by a curvilinear bow-window (located on the edge of the most visible building) deliberately different from the typological and compositional characteristics of the context, in order to connote the building with respect to its public function. Particular attention was also paid to the areas outside the courtyard with the construction of a Piermarinian grove of proportionate size.
