The new Salesian university residence was designed assuming a total internal redefinition of the existing building, supplemented by an elevation of a floor of rooms and an additional upper floor dedicated to technological systems.
Energy efficiency was one of the main elements to which reference was made to design a building with zero CO2 emissions.
The body of the new external lift was designed to balance the horizontality of the elevation characterized by a steel structure supporting the photovoltaic panels and heat pumps. The cadence of the pre-existing windows is also respected in the elevation, in order to give a unitary reading of the entire complex.
